BridgewaterEagles.com Offers Extensive Mobile Access to Fans
BRIDGEWATER, Va. – In an effort to keep fans in the know about their favorite Bridgewater College sports teams, the Athletic Media Relations department is pleased to announce a number of mobile initiatives through the athletic department website, BridgewaterEagles.com.
Fans that have downloaded iCalendar files from the website in the past are advised to use the files with caution. It has been brought to the department’s attention that the iCalendar files are showing game times to be an hour later than the correct scheduled time. Fans should continue to adhere to the schedules on the individual sport pages at BridgewaterEagles.com.
Aside from the iCalendar files, fans are also encouraged to utilize the mobile website for better on-the-go access to information on their favorite Eagles sports teams. All mobile devices should automatically redirect users to the mobile site, if not, scroll to the bottom of the main webpage and click on the ‘mobile’ link.
For the second year in a row, fans are also encouraged to brand their mobile devices by downloading an iPhone background from the website at BridgewaterEagles.com. Three backgrounds are available by clicking the iPhone Backgrounds link inside of the Fan Center dropdown at the top of the page.
Over the summer, the athletic department announced a new partnership with WBOP 95.5 FM and Gamma Broadcasting to provide live audio at select football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games. For the first time, fans will have access to each broadcast game from their mobile devices through a mobile app. Fans are encouraged to go to their mobile device’s app store and search 95.5 WBOP and download the mobile app for quick access to each game broadcast over the radio airwaves.
Finally, fans also have mobile access to each video streaming broadcast in conjunction with Bridgewater’s partnership with Boxcast, Inc. To watch a game on your mobile device, fans should click the video link on the schedule page of the respective event and the broadcast will appear in a mobile-friendly format.
