BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College placed five players on the ABCA/Rawlings Division III All-South Region team released Wednesday.
Leading the Bridgewater selections was junior outfielder Nick Fulk. Fulk, the ODAC Player of the Year and a D3Baseball.com All-South first-team pick, led the Eagles in runs scored, triples, hits and stolen bases during the 2013 season. He finished the year with a .371 batting average and 72 base hits. He also had four triples, scored 46 runs and stole 20 bases in 22 attempts.
Named to the All-South second team were senior outfielder Jonathan Mason and junior second baseman Bryan Sanderson. Mason led the Eagles with 10 homers and 50 RBIs while Sanderson set a new Eagles single-season record with 20 doubles.
Receiving third-team honors were senior third baseman Andrew Hacker and junior relief pitcher Nick Corbin. Hacker was second on the team with 69 hits and finished with a .369 batting average. Corbin set a new single-season earned run average standard with a 0.74 ERA. He was 2-0 with four saves. In 24.1 innings, Corbin allowed 19 hits while striking out 19 batters and walking just one.
