AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Bridgewater College ended its Spring Break swing Thursday afternoon with a tough 2-0 loss to Rhodes.
Rhodes took the lead with a run in the top of the third inning and then added the second run in the sixth when Jonah Telli belted a homer to lead off the inning, making the score 2-0.
The Eagles threatened in the bottom of the eighth when Cameron Stanley and Parker Mead produced back-to-back singles to start the inning. The Lynx went to the bullpen and reliever Jackson Lourie retired the next three batters in order to end the threat.
Bridgewater's struggles at the plate continued as the Eagles finished the contest with six hits. Brandon Poole was the lone Eagles' player to have multiple hits as he finished 2-for-4.
The Eagles are back in action Saturday when they begin conference play with a road trip to Roanoke College for an afternoon doubleheader.
