ROANOKE, Va. - Bridgewater College finished sixth as Hollins hosted a 12-college competition Saturday, Feb. 27. Sweet Briar College was champion at the show and Washington and Lee picked up their first reserve champion ribbon of the season. Randolph College was third and there was a tie for fourth between Hollins, Lynchburg, and U.Va.. Next was James Madison Universit, one point ahead of Bridgewater College.
Several riders from Bridgewater College won their classes. Lindsay Barrett won the open flat, Caitlin Hewitt won the intermediate flat, Jamie Robinson was first in the novice fences and Ryan Carroll won the advanced walk-trot-canter
Second place finishes were won by walk-trot riders Allyson Gallamore and Corrie Fitz.
Lindsay Ferguson was third in the intermediate fences and Katherine Chrysostom was third in the intermediate flat.
Fourth place was won by Shelby Goodman in the open fences and Emily Wolek in the open Flat.
Fifth place was won by Chelsea Hames in the intermediate fences.
Savannah English was sixth in walk-trot-canter and Katie Leonard was sixth in novice fences. Emily Wolek finished sixth in open fences and Lindsay Ferguson was sixth in novice on the flat.
