RALEIGH, N.C. - Three of the Bridgewater College team riders took horses to the North Carolina State Fair Show grounds and showed off the horses we brought with us in a fashion that made us proud.
Lindsay Ferguson had just gotten home two weeks ago from showing her beautiful chestnut gelding, Amulet, at the Washington International Horse Show. In Raleigh she continued guiding Amulet to ribbons in several Adult Amateur Hunter classes and finished second in the Adult Hunter Classic.
Caitlin Hewitt placed well on Saturday but rode to the best performances yet in the coliseum on Sunday morning. Her young horse has shown tremendous potential from the beginning of his career but put it together for two gorgeous trips on Sunday morning besting several of the best Adult Amateur horses on the east coast.
McKenna Snidow is a Freshman who decided to try Bridgewater College's Travelor in what was to be her last opportunity to qualify for showing in the Children's Hunter Division before stepping up next year into the Adult Hunter Division. They put it together to actually win the Children's Handy Hunter Class which culminated that division of the show.
Coaches Sarah Irvine and Ashley Tantawi escorted the three girls to the show.
