Hames Places 5th In Intermediate Over Fences at IHSA National Show; Blog UPDATED!

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Bridgewater's Chelsea Hames placed fifth in individual competition Thursday at the IHSA National Show being held at the Kentucky Horse Center.

Hames finished fifth in the Individual Intermediate Over Fences class. Each individual class at the national show features 16 riders.

The top six riders in each individual event earn points for his or her respective zone and are then designated as Hunter Seat Zone All-Stars. Point totals are kept for each zone at the national show. Their are eight zones in IHSA and the Eagles compete in Zone 4. Zone 4 accumulated 14 points on Thursday to finish the day in sixth place.

Also riding in individual events Thursday for the Eagles were Shelby Goodman and Lauren Casey. Goodman placed 10th in Open Over Fences while Casey finished 9th in Novice on the Flat.

Friday, Corrie Fittz will represent the Eagles and Zone 4 in the Walk-Trot class
