Bridgewater Riders Tie For First At Randolph IHSA Show

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College opened the spring portion of its IHSA show season Friday afternoon and the Eagles tied Lynchburg for first place at the Randolph College event.

The Eagles and Lynchburg both finished with 28 points with Hollins just one more point back in third place. The Eagles are still in second place in the regional standings and closed the gap between first and second place by 10 points as regional leader Sweet Briar scored 18 points at Friday's show.

Bridgewater's Lindsey Goode was the Reserve High Point Rider at the Randolph show. Goode placed first in Novice Fences and fourth in Novice on the Flat. Emma Lane Poole from Hollins University was Friday's high point rider.

In Open Fences, Emily Manos placed first for the Eagles and teammate Shelby Goodman finished sixth. Manos finished in sixth place in Open on the Flat.

Lauren Casey took first place in Intermediate on the Flat and Kara Sims placed first in Walk-Trot.

Allyson Gallamore completed the BC scoring with a fifth-place effort in Walk-Trot-Canter. 

The Eagles return to action Sunday at the Sweet Briar IHSA Show.
