BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College head coach Michael Clark has announced the addition of Gettysburg College to the schedule for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Clark and the Eagles will travel to Gettysburg to open the 2014 season before welcoming the Bullets to Jopson Field for the 2015 season opener. Gettysburg takes the place of St. Vincent College on the schedule after the Eagles complete a four-game series with the Bearcats this season with the season opener at Jopson Field.
"Although we have really enjoyed the competition with St. Vincent and Coach Colbert, we look forward the challenge that Gettysburg will bring in 2014 and 2015," said Clark. "It is a great and more convenient game for our fans and families and it aligns us with one of the outstanding academic schools in the Mid-Atlantic region."
The 2014 contest with the Bullets will be the first game in series history between the two teams. Gettysburg's posted three straight winning seasons, including a 7-3 finish in 2012.
Bridgewater opens the 2013 season on September 7 with a showdown against St. Vincent. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
