BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College head football coach Michael Clark and the rest of the Eagles are set to kick off the 2013 season in the same way they have since 2002 when the squad hosts the 12th Annual Pigskin Preview on Saturday, August 24 on the Bridgewater campus.
Kids 14 and under are once again encouraged to come join the 2013 edition of the Eagles on the game field for the team flex and warm-up portion of practice and can then participate in the first practice drill period of the day at the position of their choice.
To take part in the warmup and drill period, kids must register when they check in with their families at lunch. It is strongly encouraged that each youngster wears a Bridgewater College shirt or the Crimson and Vegas Gold colors.
This year's preview starts off with a high noon picnic lunch near the Kline Campus Center with the players and coaches. Clark's 2013 coaching staff will also be having lunch with attendees again after a strong response last year.
Following lunch, attendees will have the opportunity to sit down with Coach Clark in Cole Hall for an informative Q&A session, before heading to individual meetings.
The day wraps up with an open practice for fans and families to attend on the playing field at Jopson Field.
Cost is $9 per ticket for adults, $5 for children aged 5-10, while children four and under are admitted free of charge.
To RSVP, contact Cyndi Justice at 540-828-5477 or via email at email@example.com. The deadline for reservations is Thursday, August 22nd at 6 p.m. There is no need to pre-pay, plan on paying at the door in the Kline Campus Center.
The Eagles open the 2013 season on September 7 with a showdown at home against St. Vincent. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
