Football Announces 2010 Schedule

Fresh off a 7-3 campaign in 2009, Bridgewater College head football coach Michael Clark has announced the team's 2010 football schedule. The 2010 campaign is highlighted by five home games, four road games, and a neutral contest in Salem, Va. at the site of the annual Stagg Bowl.

Five Bridgewater Eagles football standouts got an early Christmas gift when they were named to the Roanoke Times College Division All-State team. Bridgewater garnered two first team selections, and three second team selections.

In voting conducted among the member of the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID), the Bridgewater Eagles football team picked up five All-State selections, including four first team selections.
Eleven Eagles Named to ODAC Football All-Conference Squad

Eleven Bridgewater Eagles football players earned All-ODAC honors after the squad wrapped up a 7-3 campaign. Four Eagles earned first team honors, while five made the second team and two garnered honorable mention selections.

Football Defeats Catholic 30-13 on Senior Day
Behind two 100-yard rushers and 468 yards of total offense, the Bridgewater Eagles (7-3, 4-2 ODAC) sent the team's 21 seniors out with a convincing 30-13 victory in the season finale against Catholic (1-9, 0-6 ODAC) at Jopson Field.

Football Falls 33-23 to Randolph-Macon
Trailing by 14 at the end of the first quarter, the Bridgewater Eagles (6-3, 3-2 ODAC) rattled off 21 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a seven point lead into the locker room. But, BC would get outscored by 19-2 margin in the second half en route to a 33-23 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) loss at the hands of Randolph-Macon (6-3, 4-1 ODAC) at Jopson Field.

On Saturday, October 24, Bridgewater head football coach Michael Clark picked up the team's 100th victory during his time with the Eagles. Throughout the entire 2009 season, Clark has been operating a campaign named "Sharing 100" to help share the team's 100th victory with the many friends, families, former players and fans of BC football.

For his five catches for 108 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 35-34 overtime victory at Washington and Lee, junior Tyler Beiler has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Eagles Win a Wild One, 35-34, Over Washington and Lee
It may be the oldest adage in the book, but it could be the most exclusive reference to the old saying that word's simply can't describe it. In Old Dominion Athletic Conference action, the Bridgewater Eagles (6-2, 3-1 ODAC) escaped Wilson Field on the Washington and Lee (3-6, 2-3 ODAC) campus with a gut-wrenching 35-34 overtime victory over the Washington and Lee Generals.
