Goodman Claims ODAC Player of the Week Honor

FOREST, Va. – Sophomore Galen Goodman was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week after scoring a hat trick in Wednesday's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Randolph-Macon.

Goodman scored the first goal of the game early on before tallying a pair down the stretch to push the Eagles to victory.

On the season, Goodman has a team-high eight tallies. 

The honor for Goodman is the first of her career and marks the second time this season that the Eagles have picked up a Player of the Week selection.

Goodman and the rest of the Eagles are back in action on Tuesday when they host No. 3 Lynchburg in the 2011 home finale. Action against the Hornets is set for 4:00 p.m.
