Field Hockey Team Recognized for Academic Achievements

CHANDLER, Ariz. - In a release by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), the Bridgewater College field hockey team was recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom during the 2012 season.

The Eagles were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom after the team boasted above a 3.0 GPA during the 2012 season. Bridgewater was one of five Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) teams recognized by the national coaching organization.

Bridgewater wrapped up the 2012 season with an 11-8 overall record. Bridgewater's 11 wins is the highest wins total for the program since the Eagles tallied 11 wins in 1998. The Eagles also reached the semifinal round of the conference tournament.
