Keeping Up with Keshishian

Keshishian. Sounds similar to a French breakfast pastry. Or, maybe it's like Keeping Up with the Keshishians. In the native country, it's a name meaning priesthood. At Bridgewater College, it means you're a five-foot six, sophomore midfielder who patrols Mapp Field.
Hess Named to All-State First Team

Junior midfielder Kalah Hess made it a perfect two-for-two in the postseason awards category by being named a first team All-State selection in voting conducted by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID). Hess’ first team nod from VaSID comes on the heels of her first team All-ODAC selection from earlier in the year.
Field Hockey Nets Four All-Conference Selections

Following a 9-9 season, the Bridgewater Eagles field hockey team landed four players on the All-ODAC team, including a first and second team selection. Junior Kalah Hess was the squad's lone first-team selection, while freshman Joan Burleson netted second-team honors. Junior Brianna Jacques and senior Christina Pybus both picked up Honorable Mention selections.

Senior Kelli Worst netted the equalizer at the onset of the second half, but it was Randolph-Macon's Nicole Klee scoring the game-winner as the Bridgewater Eagles field hockey team (9-9) fell in the first round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament by a 2-1 score in Ashland, Va.

Senior forward Christina Pybus made it a perfect two-for-two on the week by earning a WomensFieldHockey.com Honor Roll selection after being named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday.

Following a victory at Roanoke on Saturday night that clinched a berth into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tournament, the fifth-seeded Bridgewater Eagles field hockey team will take on Randolph-Macon in the opening round of the ODAC tournament.

On Senior Day for the Bridgewater Eagles (8-8) It was Shenandoah (7-8) scoring the game's first goal and last goal, but it was all BC in the middle of the contest as the Eagles sent the seniors away from Mapp Field in style with a 4-3 victory.

Tomorrow's home finale will be a bittersweet one for the Bridgewater Eagles field hockey team as the squad honors its three seniors before Thursday's game with Shenandoah.

Field Hockey Falls To Rhodes In Overtime 2-1
Sophomore Allison Carr netted her second career goal in the second half to knot the game at one, but in overtime the Rhodes Lynx found the back of the net first, as the Bridgewater Eagles fell by a 2-1 score to Rhodes at Washington & Lee in out of conference action.

Bridgewater (7-7, 1-5 ODAC) was able to put two goals on the board late, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles fell to #8 Lynchburg (13-2, 6-0 ODAC) by an 8-2 score in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action at Mapp Field.

In ODAC play at Washington and Lee (5-6, 3-2 ODAC), the Bridgewater Eagles (7-6, 1-4 ODAC) field hockey team fell behind early and was unable to climb back as the Eagles fell to the Generals by a 5-0 score.
