Golfers in Second After First Round of ODAC Championships; Redwood Co-Leads

CAPE CHARLES, Va. - With one round of play in the books at the 2010 ODAC Golf Championships, the Bridgewater Eagles find themselves two strokes out of the lead in second place. Junior Mike Redwood sits in a tie at the top of the individual leaderboard at two-over par.

Bridgewater fired a first round score of +24, 312, which is just two strokes behind overall leader and two-time defending champion Washington and Lee.

While Redwood's 74 set the pace for the Eagles, sophomore John Phillips was just two strokes off of the pace set by Redwood with a first-round 76.

Sophomore Travis Gahman currently sits in a tie for 11th at +7, 79, while Michael Hankins rounded out the scoring quartet for the Eagles at +11, 83.

On the team leaderboard, Guilford is in third place at +26, 314, while Roanoke and Lynchburg round out the top five at +29 and +41, respectively.

Second round action from the 2010 ODAC Championships starts on Monday, while the three-day tournament wraps up on Tuesday with the team champion receiving an automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships.
