NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Bridgewater College senior men's golfer Tod Foshee earned a spot on the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State second team following a vote by the state's sports information professionals.
Foshee's all-state selection follows on the heels of a first team selection to the all-conference list in April. The Chesapeake, Va. native led the Eagles on the year with a 76.5 stroke average across 22 rounds of play. The senior finished in a tie for seventh place at the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship at the Bay Creek Resort and Club in Cape Charles, Va.
Foshee posted his top round of the year on his first round of competition on the season as the senior fired a three-under, 69, on day one of the Tom Kinder Memorial. On the year, Foshee finished in the top five on a pair of occasions and cracked the top 10 at three tournaments.
The senior owns a career average of 77.41 which places him in sixth all-time in the Bridgewater record books.
Headlining this year's All-State teams was Player of the Year Trevor Banks from Virginia Intermont, Rookie of the Year Teddy Corcoran from Washington & Lee and Coach of the Year Jamie Coleman of Christopher Newport.
