Randolph Pulls Away In Second Half To Defeat Eagles

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Randolph pulled away from a scoreless tie at the half to defeat Bridgewater College, 3-0, Wednesday in ODAC soccer action.

The teams played on even terms in the opening half with the WildCats holding a slight 10-6 edge in shots.

That changed in the second half as Randolph posted a 14-2 advantage in shots in the final 45 minutes.

Corey Sindle put the WildCats on the board with a goal in the 53rd minute. Sindle assisted on the final two scores to lead Randolph to the victory.

Bridgewater drops to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the ODAC. Randolph is now 8-0 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC.

The Eagles return to action Saturday afternoon when they entertain Averett in a non-conference contest.
