Bennison Announces 2012 Coaching Staff

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College men's soccer head coach Ryan Bennison has announced his coaching staff for the 2012 season.

Jacob Mapstone will return for his second season on Bennison's staff.  Mapstone played four years of college soccer at Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn., where he was a team captain as a senior and a three-time NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) all-region pick. Mapstone also coached at Johnson University for one season and also coached with Ambassadors in Sport – South Africa.

Joining the Eagles coaching staff as a volunteer assistant this season will be Taylor Dooley, a 2012 graduate of Lancaster Bible College. Dooley played soccer all four years in Lancaster and was team captain as a sophomore and senior. He was an all-region NCCAA performer as a sophomore and senior and earned second-team NCCAA All-American honors as a senior.

The Eagles will open up their 2012 season on Sept. 1 at Gettysburg. The Eagles play their home opener on Sept. 5 against Southern Virginia.
