FERRUM, Va. – Bridgewater College graduate Chris Radke was named to the Virginia Sport Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Second Team following an outstanding senior season for the Eagles men's tennis team.
Radke turned in a 12-8 season, including a 10-6 mark in dual match action. The Midlothian, Va. native went 10-6 on the season at number one singles en route to setting the career singles wins record with 47 victories.
In doubles action, Radke went 10-10 on the year and 9-8 in dual match action with teammate Brad DeWitt at number one doubles.
Hampden-Sydney College senior William Moss and Washington and Lee University freshman Hayden White captured top honors on the 2010 VaSID College Division Men's Tennis All-State Team. Moss earned Player of the Year honors for the second straight year, while White earned Rookie of the Year. W&L's David Detwiler earned Coach of the Year.
VaSID was formed in 1983, and is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of Virginia. The purpose of the organization is to promote college athletics at all four-year institutions.
