Six Eagles Selected To All-ODAC Men's Tennis Team

FOREST, Va.  – Six Bridgewater College players earned recognition on the ODAC Men's Tennis all-conference team released Thursday.

In singles play, senior Peter Hawkins and sophomore Brandon Larsen earned first-team honors. Hawkins played No. 1 singles for the Eagles and finished the season with a 16-4 record. Hawkins' lone loss in conference play came against ODAC Player of the Year Hayden White of Washington and Lee.

Larsen alternated between the No. 2 and No. 3 spots early in the year before settling in at No. 2 singles during conference play. He finished the season with a 12-8 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play.

Evan Stack at No. 3 singles, Christian Lynn at No. 4 and Sam Churchill at No. 6 were all named to the second team.

Stack finished the season with a 14-7 overall record and an 8-0 record during conference regular season play. Lynn was 10-7 overall and 5-2 in ODAC play while Churchill finished 13-6 overall and 9-0 in conference matches.

All three doubles team earned all-conference recognition.

Hawkins and Churchill led the way with a first-team selection at No. 3 doubles. The duo finished the year with a 15-6 overall record and a 9-1 mark in conference play. Their lone conference loss came when they were playing No. 2 doubles.

Larsen and Stack earned a spot on the All-ODAC second team at No. 1 doubles. They were 13-9 overall and 7-3 in ODAC play.

Lynn and Mike Cable were named to the third team at No. 2 doubles. The pair finished 8-11 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

W&L took three of the top conference awards. In addition to being named ODAC Player of the Year, White also took home the ODAC Student-Athlete of the Year honor. W&L's David Detwiler was named Coach of the Year. Virginia Wesleyan's Graham Wilson was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year.
