JMU Blanks Eagles, 7-0

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Division I opponent James Madison blanked the Bridgewater College Eagles, 7-0, Tuesday in men's tennis action.

The Dukes claimed the doubles point by winning all three matches.

The closest match of the day came at No. 1 doubles where Bridgewater's Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers came up short against Theophile Lanthiez and Paul Mendoza 7-5.

JMU's August Simonsen and Tate Steinour defeated Kyle Hartfield and Thomas Rishcoff 6-1 at No. 2 doubles while Miljan Ruzic and Alex Berdnikoff held off Nathaniel Horner and Freddie Roberts 6-3.

The Dukes won the six singles matches in straight sets.

JMU's Damon Roberts defeated Hartfield at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-1 and Mendoza stopped Dillenbeck 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.

Sebastian Salinas downed Rishcoff 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Lanthiez downed Rodgers 6-2, 6-0 at the No, 4 spot.

Steinour took a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5 over Horner and Ruzic defeated johnson 6-0, 6-1 to win at No. 6.
