Eagles Finish 10th At South/Southeast Region Meet

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Bridgewater College men's cross country team turned in a solid 10th-place effort Saturday at the NCAA South/Southeast Region Meet hosted by Rhodes College.

Jake Griffin led the Bridgewater effort, finishing in 34th place overall with a time of 26:38 on the 8K course.

Bridgewater bunched its next four scorers between the 57th and 73rd finishers. Brian Barnett was the second BC runner across the line in 57th place. Paul Johnson finished 61st, followed by Ryan Speray in 67th and Abe Rittenhouse in 73rd place.

It was a banner day for the ODAC as Lynchburg won the team title team while Virginia Wesleyan's Sean Whitson won the individual crown with a time of 24:54.
