Bill Testerman begins his second year as assistant coach in
cross country. Bill is a 1999 graduate of James Madison University,
where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology with minors in
Kinesiology and Anthropology. Bill was also certified as a personal
trainer for four years by the the American Council on Exercise, and
has designed numerous strength and endurance training programs
based on a solid foundation of exercise science.
Bill has participated in Cross Country and Track & Field at
both the Division III and Division I levels, where he competed at
distances of 800m to 8km. As a freshman at Washington University in
St. Louis, Bill consistently ran among the top seven runners and
earned recognition as one of the fastest freshmen in the Midwest
Region. As a sophomore, Bill transferred to JMU, where he continued
to compete and was named to the Colonial Athletic Association's
All-Academic Team for Track & Field.
Currently, Bill is also employed as an Information Technology
Administrator, and lives in Weyers Cave, VA.
