Eagles ranked No. 18 in final poll
Bridgewater College is ranked No. 18 in the nation in the final
National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III softball
poll of the year.
The Eagles finished the season with a strong run in the opening
round of the NCAA tournament, advancing to the final game of the
Salisbury breaking where they lost to Salisbury, 2-1.
Bridgewater completed the 2009 season with a 36-11 record. Fellow
ODAC member Lynchburg, was ranked No. 16 in the final poll
The Eagles finished in the Top 25 for the second time in the past
three years. In 2007, Bridgewater was ranked No. 19 in the final
NFCA Top 25 poll.
