Mullen Tabbed to D3Hoops.com South Region Second Team

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Senior guard Jessica Mullen was named the D3Hoops.com South Region second team after wrapping up a stellar season with the Bridgewater Eagles women's basketball team.

For Mullen, the All-Region honor is the first of her career.

Last month, Mullen was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Year and picked up first team All-ODAC honors to lead a pair of Bridgewater College players on the All-ODAC women's basketball team.

Mullen is the second Bridgewater player in the last three years to earn D3Hoops.com All-Region recognition after Jordan Burkholder was named to the team following the 2010-11 season.

The Purcellville, Va. native scored 15.8 points per game to lead the Eagles during the season. She also scored in double figures in 21-of-24 games this year, including two 28-point outbursts. Mullen led the ODAC in steals with 80.

On January 5 at Emory & Henry, Mullen became the 18th player in program history to surpass the 1,000-point milestone. Currently, Mullen wrapped up her Bridgewater career ranked seventh in program history with 1,256 points.
