ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Freshman Andrea Walker carded a +14, 86, on the final day of competition at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational to crack the top five and lead the way for the Bridgewater Eagles women's golf team in the final tune up before the conference championships.
Walker parred six holes on the day to finish the weekend at +33, 177, and finish in a tie for fifth place on the individual leaderboard. Overall, Walker parred 11 holes on the weekend.
Freshman Marin Warring also finished inside of the top 10 at the par 72, 5,805 yard Hanover Country Club after firing a +15, 87, on the final day of competition. Warring birdied hole number 10 and parred five other holes on the day to wrap up the weekend in eighth place at +36, 180.
Finally, sophomore Abby Daniels also competed for the Eagles on the final day of competition and carded the best round of her young career with a +30, 102. Daniels finished the weekend at +73, 217, to wind up in 30th place overall. The sophomore parred two holes on the final day.
Gettysburg College ran away with the team championship after carding a two-day total of +125, 701. The Bullets also took home the individual championship with Kara McNaulty's +16, 160.
Bridgewater is back in action on April 21 when it opens play at the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at the Bay Creek Resort and Club.
