Lacrosse team defeats Ferrum, 18-5
Bridgewater College dominated the action in the second half
Tuesday to pull away for an 18-5 non-conference lacrosse victory
over Ferrum College.
The Eagles scored the final two goals of the first half to lead 8-3
and then outscored the Panthers 10-2 in the second half.
Leslie Crawford led the Eagles with five goals and Megan Bach added
four. Also scoring for BC were Sarah Bursey with three goals,
Noelle Najjar and Mary Robinson with two each, and Erin Cartwright
and Christina Pybus with one goal each.
BC goalkeeper Colleen Schwind had a strong game with 11 saves.
The win was the second of the season for the Eagles who are now 2-5
overall.
