CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Washington College scored nine unanswered goals in the first half and Shorewomen went on to defeat Bridgewater College, 17-6, Saturday afternoon.

A goal by Bridgewater's Taylor Chamberlain off an assist from Megan Bach tied the score at 1-1 before the Shorewomen rattled off the next nine goals to open up a 10-1 lead.

Washington led 13-2 at the break en route to the 17-6 victory.

Caitlin Costello and Chamberlain scored two goals each to lead the Bridgewater attack. Bach and Aili Knapp scored one goal each to complete the Eagles' scoring.

Bridgewater is now 3-2 on the season.
