Women’s Lacrosse Teams Up with Virginia Wesleyan for Friends of Jaclyn

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – On Saturday, the Bridgewater Eagles women's lacrosse team will be traveling to Virginia Wesleyan and the Marlins and Eagles will join forces for the 2012 edition of the Friends of Jaclyn game.

The Eagles will be wearing special Friends of Jaclyn T-shirts during warm ups and will also be selling additional t-shirts for $20. All proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go directly to the Friends of Jaclyn foundation.

The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FOJ), formed in 2005, is a non-profit, charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families.

FOJ matches a child in need of love, support and friendship with a college or high school sports team based on geographic basis. Through a due diligence process, the foundation screens for the best match based on the child and family's needs and the team, coach and athletic director's commitment to the foundation's goals.

To purchase a t-shirt, contact head coach Kim Lowry at (540) 828-8006 or via email at klowry@bridgewater.edu
