Hornets Blank Eagles 3-0 In Women's Soccer Action
LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg College shut out the Bridgewater College Eagles, 3-0, Saturday night in ODAC women's soccer action.
The Hornets took control with two goals in the final seven minutes of the first half. Ashley Hoath and Kristen Melchioro scored the goals to give Lynchburg a 2-0 lead at the break.
The Hornets held a 27-8 edge in shots and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
Cari Hensley and Shauna Manovich split time in goal for the Eagles. Hensley allowed two goals and recorded three saves while Manovich allowed one goal and finished with five saves.
Bridgewater is now 11-4-1 overall and 5-3 in the ODAC. Lynchburg improves to 9-2-3 overall and 6-1-1 in the ODAC.
