Eagles Set New Program Record With 6-0 Victory Over Randolph College


LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College Eagles set a new program record for most victories in a season with a 6-0 win Saturday over Randolph College in ODAC women's soccer action.

With the victory, the Eagles are now 13-4-1 on the season. The 13 wins sets a new program record for wins in a season, breaking the previous mark set by the 2000 team that finished 12-5-1.

BC is now 7-3 in the ODAC, also a new mark for most conference wins in a season.

The Eagles also established a new record for goals scored in a season with 53.

Bridgewater got on the board early on a goal by Jacey Kelley with the assist by Abby Dehoff. Sara Taylor made it 2-0 off a nice pass from Caroline Banks.

Banks, Sophie Thomas and Brittney Harris added goals with Taylor recording the assist each time to make the score 5-0.

Courtney Dearing closed out the scoring with a goal off assists from Courtney Vaught and Thomas for the final 6-0 margin.

Taylor now has 13 assists in her career to move into third place on BC's all-time assists leaders list.
