Wilson's Runner-Up Finish Paces Women's Tennis at ODAC Fall Championships

ROANOKE, Va. - Freshman Brittany Wilson was the lone player to reach the championship finals, before falling by a 6-2, 6-1 score to Washington and Lee's Kerry Cotter as the Bridgewater Eagles women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the ODAC Fall Championships.

Wilson (Lynchburg, Va./Heritage) entered the day with a 2-0 mark, before falling in the championship finals of the Flight D field by a 6-2, 6-1 tally.

In Flight A doubles action, the freshman duo of Katy Bergey (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) and Katie Gordon (Winchester, Va./John Handley) fell by an 8-5 tally, while the tandem of Ally McConaughy (Columbia, Conn./East Catholic) and Emily Schweitzer (Glen Allen, Va./J.R. Tucker) fell by an 8-0 score in Flight B doubles.

Wilson and sophomore Amanda Gorby (Fishersville, Va./Wilson) were also in action for the Eagles in Flight D doubles.
