Hawkins, Gordon Named To All-ODAC First Team

FOREST, Va. - Bridgewater College freshman Maria Hawkins and senior Katie Gordon were honored on the 2014 All-ODAC Women's Tennis First Team released today by the conference office.

Hawkins was named to the all-conference first team at No. 2 singles. She posted a 10-1 record at No. 2 singles in conference play during the regular season. Hawkins finished the season with a 15-match winning streak in singles action.

Hawkins and Gordon were named to the All-ODAC first team at No. 1 doubles. The duo finished the regular season with a 9-2 record in conference play. Overall, the pair posted a 13-4 record this spring at the No. 1 doubles position.

Washington and Lee's Erin Ness was named ODAC Coach of the Year and the Generals No. 1 player Sonja Meighan was named Player of the Year. Emory & Henry's Stella Di Michele was Rookie of the Year and Shenandoah's Molly Barb received the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.
