Eagles Fall To Generals, 9-0

LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater College dropped its ODAC match at Washington and Lee on Sunday by a score of 9-0.

The Generals swept the doubles matches to take an early lead. Michelle Fleenor and Ashton Jenne defeated Bridgewater's Jamiah Lewis and Whitney Kiser to win at the No. 1 doubles position. Anna Kreynin and Claudia Kesala blanked Nicole Shifflett and Stephanie Barton at No. 2 doubles while Madison Hutchins and Gabby Moore downed Racel Zarin and Ashley Price 8-3 at the No. 3 slot.

W&L won each of the singles matches in straight sets.

Valerie Marshall defeated Lewis at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2 and Liz Horsley stopped Kiser at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0. Emily Kochard downed Nicole Shifflett at No. 3 by scores of 6-1, 6-0 while Mary Hampton McNeal defeated Barton 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4. At No. 5 Lauren Hassell downed Shannon Quinn 6-1, 6-1 and DeeDee Aeschliman stopped Rachel Crawford 6-1, 6-1.
