SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Bridgewater Eagles women's track and field team toppled two school records on Monday as the Eagles wrapped up the regular season at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier meet.
Bridgewater got the day started with a record-setting effort in the 800 meter run. Junior Elizabeth Stump snapped her own school record in the event with a finish in a time of 2:20.45. Stump's time was good enough for a 29th place finish.
School record number two fell in the triple jump as senior Melanie Waters stuck her sixth jump in record-setting fashion. Waters topped the former school record by more than an inch with her leap of 37 feet, 6 ½ inches.
Junior Erin Parker turned in the program's fourth-best effort of all-time in the 1,500 meter run behind a time of 4:56.47. Parker's time was good enough for 43rd place overall.
In the 5,000 meter run, senior Stephanie Breen capped off her career with a time of 18:23.77. Breen took home an 18th place finish in the event.
