SALEM, Va. - Bridgewater College won the final two games Tuesday night to knock off Roanoke College, 3-2, in ODAC volleyball action.
Bridgewater edges the Maroons 25-22 in the first game, but Roanoke bounced back to win the next two by scores of 25-22 and 25-17.
The Eagles then controlled play in the fourth game, 25-14, to even the match. In the decisive fifth game Birdgewater closed out the match with a 15-10 victory.
Katie Long (Floyd, Va./Floyd County) led the Eagles with 13 kills. Cadie Castle (Mineral, Va./Louisa) added eight kills and Mara Hogan (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) finished with seven.
Emily Cassell (Calverton, Va./Kettle Run) paced the Eagles with 17 digs and Lindsay Kallam (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) contributed 34 assists.
Bridgewater is now 9-8 overall and 2-3 in the ODAC while Roanoke drops to 3-12 overall and 1-4 in the conference
