Eagles Roll Past Rival Royals, 3-0

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College closed out its home schedule Wednesday night with a 3-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite at Nininger Hall.

The Eagles struggled early in the first game before pulling away for a 25-19 victory and then one the next two games by identical 25-16 margins.

With the victory the Eagles evened their overall record at 13-13.  The game also marked the final conference game for the Eagles as they finish the ODAC slate with a 6-4 record.

Katie Long (Floyd, Va./Floyd County) led the Eagles at the net with 11 kills and a .471 hitting percentage. Katie Baker (Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) added six kills and four blocks. Lindsay Kallam (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) dished out 27 assists and Bethany Doman (Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) led the team with seven digs.

The contest was the final home game for seniors Baker, Morgan Foster (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) and Kai-Lynn Stoker (Potomac, Md./Jack Britt).

Bridgewater will close out its regular season Friday and Saturday at the St. Mary's College Seahawks Invitational. On Friday, the Eagles square off against St, Mary's and Muhlenberg. Saturday, BC meets City College of New York and Wesley.
