VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Wesleyan got off to a fast start Wednesday night and never looked back as the Marlins defeated Bridgewater College, 3-0, in the opening round of the ODAC volleyball tournament.

The Marlins won by scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 to advance to the ODAC semifinal round.

Mara Hogan led the Eagles with 12 kills and 11 digs. Casey O'Leary also had 11 digs and Lindsay Kallam led the team with 21 assists.

Bridgewater closes out its season with a 15-16 overall record.
