Eagles Finish Spring Break In Florida With Loss To John Carroll

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Bridgewater College closed out its Spring Break trip on Thursday, losing to John Carroll, 15-1.

John Carrol led 4-0 after three innings and the Blue Streaks pulled away in the latter innings to finish off the victory.

Bridgewater scored its lone run in the seventh inning. The Eagles loaded the bases with no outs on a walk to Kevin Navedo and singles by Matthew LaPrade and Jarrett Biesecker. Jacob Grabeel singled through the left side, scoring Navedo.

The Eagles finished the contest with 10 hits. Grabeel was 2-for-5 and LaPrade was 2-for-4 to lead the offense.

George Killian and Devin Page each pitched a scoreless inning to finish up the game for the Eagles.

Bridgewater, now 3-8 on the season, is back in action on Saturday when the Eagles open ODAC play with a doubleheader at Virginia Wesleyan.
