Eagles Place Second In Region In IDA Standings; Constant Qualifies For Nationals

WEYEERS CAVE, Va. - The Bridgewater College IDA team placed third at the team's home show Sunday behind Emory & Henry and Virginia Tech at the Bridgewater College Equestrian Center.

The team finished the season in second place  in the region behind Emory & Henry. In three years, the team has improved from sixth place to second place in a very tough region.

Bridgewater rider Jemma Constant qualified for the National Championship at the Introductory Level. The national championship show will be held at Lake Erie College on April 27-29.

Bridgewater remains in contention for a Wild Card qualifier for Nationals in the team competition. Also several individuals are also in contention for Wild Card selections to the national show. Those riders are Melissa Lempicki in First Level, Lauren Powtak in the Upper Training Level and Morgan Sowers in the Lower Training Level. 

Wild Card qualifiers will be announced April 12th.
