Riders Place Third At Randolph IHSA Show

The Bridgewater College IHSA Equitation Team had a strong showing Saturday at Randolph College placing third overall as a team.

Randolph won a close competition at home with 34 points. Hollins University was second with 31 points and the Eagles finished third with 30 points. The University of Virginia placed fourth with 25 points, followed by James Madison with 16. Washigton and Lee, University of Lynchburg and Roanoke College each finished with 15 points.

Michael Golinowski earned a fourth in Open flat and a fourth in Open fences.

Megan Heffernan got a fifth in Intermediate on the flat and a fifth in Intermediate over fences. Samantha Hawrysko earned a sixth in Intermediate over fences and a sixth in Intermediate on the flat.

Katelyn Dugan won the Novice fences class.  Isabel Ammendolia received a second Novice flat.  Laurin Watts also received a second in Novice flat.

Hannah Foster earned second place in advanced walk trot canter and Michaela Jeuick received a third in advanced walk trot canter.

Erika Ramirez finished in first place in Beginner walk trot canter. That finished qualified Ramierez to point out into Advanced Walk trot canter.

Ryanna Power received a third place in walk trot.
