Eagles Move Into Second In IDA Regional Standings

BRISTOL, Va. - The Bridgewater College IDA team competed at Emory & Henry in the final competition of the semester. The Eagles finished third at the show, but moved into second place in the overall regional standings.

The Eagles finished with 12 points to place third at the E&H show behind the host team with 17 points and the University of Virginia with 13. Appalachian State finished behind the Eagles with six points and Virginia Tech finished with five points.

In First Level, Melissa Lempicki was fourth for the team with a score of 66.570%, Natalie Ellis was second as an individual with 70.571%

In Upper Training Level, Megan Heffernan was fifth for team points with a score of 62.069%.

Jemma Constant won the Lower Training Division for team points with a score of 75.385% which was also the leading high score of the day.  Kasey Enright finished fourth as an individual with a score of 67.885%.

In the Introductory Level, Isabel Ammendolia scored 64.688% for a sixth-place for team points, Devon Francis was fifth for individual points with a score of 67.500% and Jessica Scoggin was 11th individually with a score of 59.375% in her IDA debut.

In the Dressage Seat Equitation Competition Melissa Lempicki won with Natalie Ellis in fourth in the First Level Division.  Megan Heffernan was fourth in Upper training level. In Lower Training, Jemma Constant was second and Kasey Enright was third. Isabel Ammendolia won the Introductory Division with Jessica Scoggin fourth and Devon Francis second.

Emory & Henry leads the overall regional standings with 45 points followed by Bridgewater with 41, Virginia Tech with 38 and Virginia with 34.
