Riders Finish IHSA Team Season

Isabel Ammendolia placed first in Novice on the Flat at the Lynchburg show.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Bridgewater College equestrian team had a solid performance at the final IHSA show of the season hosted by the University of Virginia. The Eagles finished fourth for the day and third overall in the region for the end-of-season points. 

Jessica Goodman started the day off strong with a second-place finish in the Walk-Trot division. Jeannette Searles had a great ride in the Advanced Walk-Trot-canter class, earning first place.

Isabel Ammendolia earned a fourth place in Novice on the flat and that qualified her for regionals as an individual. Megan Heffernan earned a third place in Intermediate on the flat.  Michael Golinowski received second-place honors in Open on the flat.

Katelyn Dugan, Samantha Hawrysko, and Michael Golinowski had solid performances in the very competitive jumping divisions.

The Bridgewater College equestrians return to U.Va. on Sunday with 10 riders who qualified to compete in the individual regional championship.
