N.C. Wesleyan Makeup Game Official For November 17

the bridgewater huddle waits for the play call

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College football team will wrap up its 2018 season at home on November 17 against North Carolina Wesleyan at 1 p.m.

The game will be made up after originally being postponed on September 15. Hurricane Florence forced the postponement of all athletic events for the weekend, and an attempt to play the game the following week fell through due to the continued weather effects in the North Carolina area.

The teams had tentatively agreed to replay the contest on Nov. 17 pending neither qualifying for the NCAA tournament. N.C. Wesleyan (5-3 overall) started the year 4-1 in USA South Conference play and was on track for a first place tie if they won their final two games, but ultimately lost 50-29 to Huntingdon last weekend.

The game will give the Eagles' 13 seniors one final chance to play on the Jopson Field turf. Bridgewater is 4-4 heading into this weekend's road game at Ferrum.
