Eagles finish second at Camp Lejeune

The Bridgewater College golf team finished in second place on the Scarlet Course at the 3-day USMC Collegiate Invitational, held at Camp Lejeune, NC, March 27-29. Play over the first two days alternates between the longer Gold course and shorter (par 70) Scarlet course. After the second day, the 32 team field is split, with the top 16 teams moving to the Gold course. After two days, BC missed the cut to the top half by 10 strokes, and moved to the Scarlet side for the last day of play.

Over three days, Bridgewater shot 289(S) + 308(G) + 282(S) for a total team score of 879, and moved up from sixth to second place. BC was led by sophomore Michael Hankins of Glen Allen, VA, who shot 73+73+70 for a total of 216. He finished fourth in the Scarlet tournament. Eagle players scored as follows:
