Men's Golf B Team Places Fourth at Stevenson

UPPERCO, Md. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team placed fourth at the Stevenson University Spring Tournament. The event counts as a B team competition for the Eagles.

Blake Sawyer and Matthew Sengul each shot 86 to tie for 12th place overall.

Sawyer played the back nine in 42, including four pars in a five-hole stretch from #11-15. Sengul was even through three, and also made three pars on that same five-hole stretch where Sawyer had made four.

Taylor Ferguson was one stroke back with an 87, including a birdie on the par-5 6th hole, as he made the turn with a team-best 40.

Michael Gruver birdied #3 and shot 90, while Hayden Moore carded a 93. Both players made birdie on the par-5 14th hole.

The Eagles shot 349 as a team as Stevenson and Hood, the state of Maryland's two Middle Atlantic Conference schools, tied for first at 313.
