Men's Swim Concludes Inaugural Dual Meet Season at HSC

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team concluded its first dual meet season on Saturday, losing 149-44 at Hampden-Sydney.

The Eagles' one event win came from freshman Tito Alcazar, who took the 100 breast by .34 seconds in 1:19.15.

Ben Williams placed second in the 800 free (12:52.08), as did Jarratt Davis in the 100 fly (1:10.65).

After winning two distance races in the Eagles' last meet, senior Chris Hollie placed third in the 400 IM in 6:33.31.

Another senior, Matt Young, was fourth in both the 50 free (27.90) and 100 free (1:01.90). Also placing fourth was Raphael Stanek in the 400 free (6:01.37) and Troy Jackson in the 100 back (1:28.35.

The Eagles placed second in the 200 medley relay (2:06.12) and third in the 200 free relay (2:07.45).

Bridgewater (2-6, 2-5 ODAC) will compete in its first ODAC championships on February 9-11 in Greensboro, N.C.
