Men's Swimming Sixth at Season-Opening Meet

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's swimming team matched its' ODAC preseason poll ranking at the season-opening ODAC Relays.

The BC men, picked to finish sixth in the conference by the league's coaches, placed sixth at the meet with 78 points.

Bridgewater's best finish was sixth, which came in the 3x50 yard butterfly relay.

BC placed seventh in the 400 free relay with a squad featuring three rookies. Kevin Whalen, Wyatt Seraphin, Austin Bacon and Jarratt Davis swam 3:37.49.

A team with three freshman also finished 10th in the 200 yard medley. Benjamin Dillon, Alcazar, Bacon and Whalen touched in 1:51.06.

In the 3x50 breast, Tito Alcazar, Bacon and Raphael Stanek were ninth with a time of 1:39.73.

The Eagles will open their dual meet season on Friday at home vs. Hampden-Sydney.
