Eagles Lose to Undefeated Roanoke

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – A shorthanded Bridgewater men's swimming team lost 137-25 on Friday, at home vs. undefeated Roanoke.

The Eagles only had four healthy swimmers for the meet, with just one entry in each event.

Ben Williams finished second in the 800 free (12:14.86), and fourth in the 100 back (1:27.93).

Bobby Grossman and Raphael Stanek each recorded two individual freestyle third place finishes. Grossman swam the 200 free (2:50.23) and 400 free (6:08.32), while Stanek competed in the 50 free (28.40) and 100 free (1:05.95).

Benjamin Dillon was third in the 100 breast (1:22.63), and fourth in the 400 IM (5:52.19).

The quartet also teamed up for a third place finish in the 200 medley relay, with a time of 2:17.89.

Bridgewater will be back in action next Saturday at Virginia Wesleyan.
