Men's Swimming Takes Road Meet at VWU

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team won an away dual meet on Saturday, beating host Virginia Wesleyan 109-65.

BC set three records in the meet, with Tito Alcazar taking first place in the 200 yard free with a school mark of 2:10.21. Raphael Stanek was second in 2:14.81.

Austin Bacon won the 1650 free in a new record of 17:36.94. In the 200 yard back, Benjamin Dillon broke his own school mark by swimming 2:24.48.

Alcazar and Bacon would each total three individual event wins on the day. Alcazar took the 100 breast (1:10.71) and 200 breast (2:41.80), and Bacon added the 100 free (52.80) and 100 fly (59.15).

Dillon took first place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:22.08, and Stanek touched first in the 500 free (24.84).

Dillon, Alcazar, Bacon and Stanek won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.00.

The Eagles are 4-2, 3-2 ODAC and will host Greensboro next Saturday.
