BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 victory Wednesday over Shenandoah in ODAC action.

The Eagles are in second place in the ODAC standings with a 7-1 ODAC record and a 10-5 overall mark this spring. Bridgewater has won five conference matches in a row.

Bridgewater's No. 3 doubles team - Freddie Roberts and Nathaniel Horner - put the Eagles on the board with an 8-0 win over Zach Frack and Kyle Denning.

The Eagles prevailed in close matches in the remaining two doubles tilts.

Kyle Hartfield and Thomas Rishcoff turned back Evan Rosenberg and Brett Dubin 8-5 at No. 2 doubles while Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers took a close 8-6 victory over Matt Hwang and Bryan Harris at the No. 1 slot.

The singles play went smoother for the Eagles as they won all six matches in straight sets, losing no more than three games in any set.

Roberts and Dillenbeck clinched the team win with quick work in their matches.

Roberts blanked Kyle Apgar 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles while Dillenbeck defeated Frack 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

Horner blanked Rosenberg 6-0, 6-0 to win at No. 5 and Rodgers stopped Harris at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-2.

Rishcoff turned back Dubin at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-3 and Hartfield downed Hwang 6-2, 6-2 to close out the match with a victory at the No. 1 spot.

The victory by Rishcoff in doubles moved the Eagles' senior past the 100-win mark for his career. Rishcoff reached 100 wins a week ago with a victory at No. 2 doubles over Roanoke.

Bridgewater is back in action Tuesday when the Eagles host Randolph-Macon in a key conference matchup. The Yellow Jackets are currently just behind the Eagles in the standings with a 6-1 ODAC mark.
